Rex Novi

Atlanta based artist Rex Novi (RxN) is on a life-long mission to help others and push the creative boundaries of music. Originally from Memphis, TN., he is a songwriter and engineer who writes, records, and mixes his own work. RxN is a collector and gear-head with a love for vinyl, audio equipment, vintage instruments, and synthesizers. He is a co-creator of Fresh and Local - an independent artist community, and the owner of Black Mettle Soundworks.

He has spent a good part of his career working behind the scenes as an engineer for various independent talent in and around Atlanta. RxN harnesses a wide range of influences from musical acts, film composers, and sound designers. His love for music mainly stems from the inspiration he gets from his musical role models. To mention but a few, The Native Tongues, The Soulquarians, Dangermouse, Jack White, Gil Scott Heron, Serj Tankian, and Soul Coughing. All of whom he wishes to bear their torch and pass the spark along to future music lovers.
